2025) Frankenstein Poster

A month ago, I rediscovered theater in my own village with an adaptation of Frankenstein by the company Les Karyatides. I was captivated, and I decided to read again the original novel by Mary Shelley (1818), and also to illustrate a scene from the play: The birth of the monster. The creature was represented by an automaton doll covered with a sheet, lit from behind. The entire upper part moved, and gave it a surprisingly lively look.

I often explain my work to people by comparing photomanipulation to the creation of Frankenstein's monster. Cutting out limbs, faces, objects, pieces of photos actually, to build something new with them. So I thought the subject to be all the more relevant.
