An original idea: A dystopian world where digital implants to the human brain are the norm. Some implants are mandatory (VGA, to reveal elements of visual memory (file.memory) for example during trials where the truth is indisputable, except with the help of a very good hacker or the mafia who can convert a dream or imaginary scene (file.imaginary) in memory file), others are as optional as mobile phones nowadays (USB, SD, HDMI, Jack, etc..., to listen to music, talk in mental conversation, viewing photos, projecting a dream or an imaginary scene, playing video games, downloading information directly into memory as in the Matrix, etc.).
Digital port operations are expensive in this class-divided world, but the possibilities are endless! Our hero is an inventor of usb gadgets for a company (invented the usb hearing aid among others), and finds himself trapped during a trial where his memory will make him guilty of a crime he did not commit.
The rest is yet to find out. The universe to be developed according to the logic to be adapted in such a world (very 'Black Mirror'-ish, in fact).
