A few years ago, I made a movie poster to illustrate in my own way the story of my favorite novel, 'Le Sang des Nahdas' [translation : 'Blood of the Nahdas'], written by Patricia Torrente. It is a fabulous fantasy universe, inhabited by very original magical people, and teeming with details, poetry, nature and emotion. The two young main characters, Narcisz (human) and Bémoth (Gris-Roche [translation : Grey-Rock]), become friends despite the rivalry of their people. A prophecy has it that together they will confront evil and restore peace.
Anyway, I sent her my poster, and we have remained long distance friends ever since. Today, 7 years later to the day, I finished a new version of the poster for her novel... and a much better one!
